Relaxation is the order of the day in Javea
The city of Javea Spain lies about eighty km north east of Alicante, in between Denia and Altea. Javea, between Denia in the north and the cabo de nao in the south, is embedded between two bays - the cabo San Antonio and the cabo San Martin.
Javea is divided into three different parts. The village of Javea which lies about 3 km land inward, the port of Javea and the area around the beach of Javea. In the old part of Javea there are still some traditionally built houses with balconies remaining. Javae really is a beautiful town with absolutely stunning views and fabulous bars, tapas bars and restaurants especially along the Avenida del Mediterraneo which runs along the Javea harbor area . Relaxation really is order of the day in Javea.
From a sightseeing point of view, you should visit the church Iglesia de San Bartolome, which was built in the 12th century. Also of interest is the museum Soler Blasco, which can be found in the calle Primicias. The museum displays a copy of the treasure of Javea, which consists of jewellery from the past centuries. The original treasure of Javea can be seen in Madrid.
The most impressive sightseeing point of Javea are not buildings but the wonderful view from the Cabo de Nao San Martin. Walking up a path from the Javea harbor - the hill of the bay allows an impressive view on the the cabo de nao.
